I think everyone is in agreement that the NEBOSH exams are tough. The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety requires the cramming of a large amount of information. Typically, eight marks can be picked up in each question, and so you need to remember all eight points that you were in your textbook to pick up the points. Creativity in your answers is not rewarded, the taught content must be there. I found there was just enough time to answer all the questions, so you also need to recall the information immediately as there is no time to sit and think.
I found the method that worked for me (I got a distinction) was to make pictograms and memorise the images. In the exam I could then visualise my sketch and hope I could remember it enough to get the required answers. I would recommend that anyone attempting this method creates their own pictograms (I haven't included some that would make no sense to anyone other than me), but I share some of mine here in case anyone finds them useful or an inspiration.
A problem with acrostics is that you also have to find a way of connecting the acronym to the topic, so I find pictograms better as the connection is included in the graphic, where possible.
